인도 드론 스타트업 에어바운드(Airbound)가 5분 내 배송을 목표로 하는 초고속 드론 배송망 구축에 나섰습니다.

에어바운드가 개발한 배송 드론 TRT는 헬리콥터처럼 수직으로 이착륙한 뒤 비행기처럼 수평 비행하는 것이 특징입니다. 약 1kg의 화물을 싣고 최대 약 40km를 비행할 수 있으며, 일반 드론보다 전력 소모를 줄여 더 빠르고 효율적인 배송이 가능합니다.

이 드론은 의약품과 검사 샘플, 소형 물품 등을 배송하도록 설계됐습니다. 회사 측은 지금까지 1000회 이상의 의료 배송을 수행했다고 밝혔습니다. 이어 인도 안드라프라데시주에서 하루 최대 1만 회 규모의 드론 배송망을 구축하고, 장기적으로는 배송 비용을 건당 약 15원 수준까지 낮출 계획입니다.
